This section will help you locate Hartlepool Water assets and explain the process of applying to build over or near to a Hartlepool Water asset.

A site location plan should be sent to us if you cannot provide a full postal address. Your order will be processed on receipt of your remittance and will be delivered via email or post as requested on your order form.  

Depending on your circumstances, requests showing the location of Hartlepool Water’s assets may be subject to an appropriate administration charge. Payment may be made by cheque or credit card.

Paper or electronic copies of maps can be requested by post, fax or email and these will be posted to you within 10 working days following receipt of your application and the appropriate fee.

As detailed in our conditions of supply document, service pipes are not recorded on our plans, but should be anticipated between each property and the adjacent water main. Any record drawings are provided for guidance only and no guarantee of accuracy is given or implied. Hand-dugtrial holes should be used to determine the exact location of mains prior to commencing works and mechanical excavators should not be used in any case within 0.5 metres of mains up to 150 millimetres diameter and this distance is increased for larger diameter mains. Thrust bores should not be used in the vicinity of Hartlepool Water assets.
